That's all that matters in the end.

Except when the time comes to sell it.

Joking apart, very brave choice, but a bit avant garde for my tastes, I'm afraid! :)

I like it as well - I don't think resale will be an issue. And I bet it looks even better in the flesh!

A Dakar Biege supporter , lets here it for the under dog

(Gave a BMW 320d a shock today as left him slightly behind exiting a roundabout glad I had it de-badged he will be scratching his head )

Must admit this new 170 pretty quick anyone chipped one yet???

Surely with no badges and the straight exhausts that the 170 comes with, he'd just assume it was a 2.0T?

Prefer to leave the badges on tbh, even in my 140, so the chavs know they've been owned by a diesel. The 170 is going to be even more fun in this regard :)

As for chipping, the latest Diesel car magazine has an article on a "chipped" Ibiza 170 FR. Even before modding the engine was putting out 179bhp and 273lbft! After modding it was putting out 213bhp and 306lbft. It was a superchips mod costing £511.13 fully fitted and apparently includes their own warranty to cover anything the manufacturer refuses to. Personally I'd still be wary of chipping one so early in its life.

    Good point,

I am afraid the real reason I had it de-badged was ease of cleaning slightly sad I know

Did the de-badge option include a free brown paper bag for your head? :)

If it's an Audi one, they'll probably charge about £200 for it (plus VAT; Front Centre Armrest must be ordered with this option)

I intend to as soon as I get hold of mine although if you look at the AMD board (bottom of Forum) looks like there are still som issues to be sorted. What's the problem with chipping a vehicle when it's new?

    Very nice!

Makes a refreshing change from the slightly obvious silver, black, grey that so many A3`s (My old one included) are ordered in.

Difficult to tell exactly what the colour looks like with the tree shadow over it, but I agree with Wolfsburger, anything a bit different to the ubiquitous Silver/Grey is a good thing in my book!

Reminds me of a metallic bronze that the Porsche 928 used to come in.
Not my cupt of tea like, but it's definitely different.
