I have always prepared & maintained all of my cars, however when I purchased my S1 which was a launch car it had already been life shined.

I wasn't that bothered as I had it booked into a detailer the day after collection. All I can say is what a state the paintwork was in :faint: The passenger side was dull with a grey appearance in certain light which was unacceptable for a brand new car.

For the S3 I gave an outright NO and I have to say the paintwork is virtually unmarked, so weather permitting this week I will add some protection myself after a thorough pre clean, wash, polish and an LSP (Wax as I prefer it).

I would however like some advice on how to protect the lunar leather? Gtechniq seems popular is there anything else?

Dr. Leather Dye Block comes highly recommended, but it isn't cheap

Cant comment on the products as I've never used it, but I have been using Dr. Leather's cleaning wipes on my A4 for around 3 years now. Fantastic bit of kuit to not only clean your leather but take them back from the nasty shiney finish to the nice as new (well almost) matte finish
