It's all very clever stuff! I like the matrix unit. BMW one looks ok but there's a lot to go wrong imo and would you get distracted with the lights moving and flicking on and off without you controlling it?
They are very impressive but I can see issues with these in the future due to the cost of the headlights and the complexity.
They don't last forever so when a failure occurs they will be very expensive to repair.
I suspect this will result in a growing trend for the headlights to be stolen.
It's already happening in some parts of the country.

That simple front end knock that used to be fixed with a bumper and some headlights could cost a fortune on some cars. Some of these headlights are £1500 each.
