Got the LEDs from eBay and put them in but let me tell you they were a ******* to put in, having to cut the plastic caps to get in

Went down to Audi to get the replacement cover caps but they were closed until tomorrow

Well it was shut so thought i'd try the panoramic shot feature on my phone for the first time before i went home lol

Right so needing the covers for these. Ive been in contact with Belfast Audi a few times this week to finalise details about our launch meet.

I got speaking to Pat (Parts Manager) and he had never heard of these covers before, hes never stocked them ever and he told me these are a specialised part order.

They are working out at £12 each, which is a bit extreme for a few rubber covers.

Im just off the phone from him there and basically, i got down to business. I told him that i wasnt happy with having to buy these, or cut into my headlight to change bulbs. Audi UK know about this issue, thats why they have the replacement covers. I mentioned to him that a few guys i know off have got these complementary from Audi UK through their respective dealers.

So hes said hes going to speak to Richard Eakin (MD Belfast Audi) to see what he can do for me and then have a chat with me at the meet on saturday. Im going to fight this but in the nicest way possible because at the end of the day we are looking to build a relationship with the dealer which will benefit both parties. The issue i have is not the dealership, but with Audi UK themselves.

Hi Aaron,

What were you finalising with Belfast Audi regarding the meet? .. Sure Sandra organised this off her own accord and we didn't need to do anything or even contact Belfast Audi regarding the meet just turn up for 10am.

I understand your frustration regarding the rubber covers, but in my opinion I think this is an issue to be discussed at another time not our first meet at Audi. We don't want to be getting off on the wrong foot by starting to want discount or freebies on the first day.

I think this issue should be discussed at an alternative time and not when we are there representing Audi-Sport.

I missed a few of Pats calls this week as i was busy with work but he had left me a voicemail to call him back, so i did and he was just asking was everything going to plan for Saturday as he is coming in especially for us and he was explaining whats going to be happening..

I understand what you mean about that Shaun but you may have misunderstood my intentions, im a respectable guy and would not be making any sort of scene that would get us off on the wrong foot. Like i said in my previous post we are looking to build a relationship with the dealer which will benefit both sides.

It was Pat's idea to talk to me on Saturday just to see what they can do for me, but like i said i will not be dwelling on the point, im there for the meet, to enjoy the day and as well as everyone else is, to represent ASN as our Audi community.
