hi..i bought a remapped s3 a few months back & recently the lambda sensor needed replacing..since then i feel as though its lost a bit power in the first few gears

i just wanted to know whether replacing the lambda sensor could have any effect on the remapping of the car

any positive respoonsies would be appreciated

    cheers

How do you know the lambda needs repalcing? Have you tried to scan for any fault codes?

Was the Lambda replaced or still needing to be replaced?

It will alter feuling as it measures the combustion gasses and alters the feuling map to suit.
I recently replaced mine and the torque now kicks in nicely from 2.4k whereas before with the knackered lambda it was 2.9k and running quite a bit lean.

I left mine too long and think i've burnt a valve. Bummer.

i have had a lambada fault come up on vagcom, the car seems to run fine, is it still advisable to replace it?

i took it to an local audi specialist becuase the engine managemnt light came on..and after a diagnostic check it came up with a fault with the lambda sensor and the reading 'low performance'
i got a changed a few days later..& since then there doesnt seem to be as much power on take off as before

if i take it to a garage that specialises in remapping..would they be able to check the bhp of the car..?

You can calculate power from the torque measured through a VAG-COM

feul map is thought to be a basic map. As my car was chipped the basic ceiling map made the car run lean and hence burnt a small hole in a valve. If the car is standard you should be fine but lacking in performance and economy.
