I have a 2001 S3 that i fitted Koni Coilovers to around 4 /5 years back,
The kit has worked well But randomly this weekend there was a loud "pong" from the passenger side front wheel followed bya scraping.
On inspection i fount ( rather shockingly) that the red alloy ring that connects the drop link to the shocker had split into three parts ,
So now im left either to complain to Koni and ask for help or price up replacements.
Im guessing the least i need is either the part thats broke to try and refit a new ring or a new pair of front coilover dampers ( can use the springs from my current set.

I asked this question in the 8L A3 section and was dirrected towards yourself,
Can you help in any way please?
Many thanks
Paul

Afternoon,

Do you have a picture of the problem?

The kit will be out of warranty now I'm guessing but this is something best to check with the company you purchased from, as for a replacement I will need to speak with Koni as they've only ever supplied us with full kits.

This is the part that has broken off...
I did buy a couple of rear shocks for this car and from nosing about on their site i think i can see the shocks listed as singles but dont understand the parts codes,

If you could do anything to help that would be great,
Thanks
Paul
