Knocking noise

HI guys I have an Audi A3 tdi 2004. I was driving it recently and noticed a knocking noise when I cornered hard left. The knocking noise was very quick a thud thud thud sound. It sounded and felt like it came from the front drivers side wheel. I have put a new wheel bearing in and a new top engine mount. It still seems to be happening.

Could anyone one help me with this matter?

No doesn't seen to be any. It's a knocking more than a screeching sound. If that makes semse

Even checked if the wheel was loose

could be your steering rack that has come loose! see if you can get it up on a hoist and have a look

If your lower arm bushes have perished that can cause knocking also as the joint rattles in the housing under strain! If you don't want to go genuine there is a full suspension arm kit available through eBay for £150! Either that or keep you existing arms and bang some poly bushes in it
