combination of operator error, wet and hail covered road and a nasty off camber dropping bend...
add to that speed reduction via garden wall/hedge/rockery and the rest is self explanatory!!

so I have some maths to do.
    1) Accept whatever paltry offer the insurance decide to give me
    2) buy it back and strip it for parts
    3) keep it and my NCB and strip it for parts
4)buy another and and put all the old parts on it and rag the tits off that one as well!! (the most expensive option!)

off the top of my head the bits of interest will be:

    Brakes
B7 RS4 Brembo 8 pots (yellow stuff pads)
    B5 rears
    360mm B7 RS4 discs - 32mm
    Newish B5 rear discs
Goodrich motorsport strippable braided hoses throughout

    Suspension/drivetrain
    KW V3 stainless/INOX coilovers
    Polybushed arms front and back
    Solid bushed rear subframe
    Apikol rear Diff bush
    Poly bushed Rear-Rear diff hanger
    resealed/oiled rear diff
5speed TQS box with no notchiness
brand new O34 front engine mount and hanger

    Engine:
    AJL 180bhp 20v 1.8t with bits
Forge FMIC with all fittings (how the feck that survived I don't know!)
    Miltek High Flow CAT
Miltek 2.75" stainless CAT back system
    AJL stock ECU

    body:
    B5 RS4 OEM Grill
    S4 rear bumper
    S4 skirts
    3 possibly 4 doors
    avant boot
    4 - 8.5x18 ET24 RS4 B7 winter option wheels 2x235/40 Nokian WRG2 2x235/40 hankook Winter (1 possibly slashed)
    1 - 8x8.5 RS4 stock option 9 spoke wheel (spare)
near side facelift headlight with/Without HID
    Passenger wing.....
    dont ask about bonnet/roof/drivers wing!!

    Interior:
Half Leather TQS Interior with no rips rubs or collapsed bolsters
    Avant door skins to match
3 Spoke alcantara S-Line steering wheel (no airbag funnily enough)
    Leather armrest
    Dash/Pass. Airbag

so estimate on what that little lot might get me?!
no "me please" requests at the moment ....it still has a pulse until the vultures stop circling

    your time will come.....

    [Vultur mode off.........till told otherwise]

    That sucks mate.
Hopefully you and any passengers are ok.

I'd deffo keep the car and break it.
If you are in a position to buy another one without telling the insurance company, I'd do that and swap all your bits over and then sell whatever you have left that you don't want.
Even one with a blown engine and use yours?

Insurance already knows, needed it uplifted
Though my RAC would cover it but they wanted £500+!!! (£180+VAT just for coming, £1.69 each way for delivery and an "undisclosed" sum for use of a winch if it is "off road" but when pushed she said £200 plus!!)

    oh, and BTW
When your air bag light is one.....the airbags still work!!
I have a fecking big bruise on right hand to show for it
christ it hurts when your hand is involuntarily fired into the A Pillar at 100mph!!

That looks nasty, shame about your hand as could of been worse, if you break it you will get quite a lot back in parts alone.

I will defiantly have a few things off you :)

    Glad no one was hurt!

regarding your predicament, you'll get a lot more in parts - BUT you'll have a stricken car to deal with and a ton of hassle. What about buying another and rebuilding - take the opportunity to change the its you didn't like etc?

However If you do choose to break it there's defo some bits I'd be interested in.

dibs on the engine mounts if there rs4/034 items.

sorry for the vulture mode but i cant resist either, id be gutted in your position mate if you love the car id get another and swap the parts over and get what you can for the bits of the donor vehicle, either way you'll get more than the insurance payout as they just see the age and write it off as they see it as a old motor/car thats uneconomical to repair.

I'd just buy another tqs and swap it all over. Maybe go for black ;) you'll be able to draw back some money from selling stuff you don't need. Pick the best bits from both cars and sell the **** that's not needed.

Full or Part Payment holds the parts
Shipping is extra but a pallet is about £40-50
Most items I can get shipped for £10-20 max
