i did exactly the same as you washed in my jeans pocket so i left it on the radiator all night and it worked ok

mine worked after 2 days and a new batt.

put it in a bowl of un ****** rice mate, will do wonders for drying it out.

I found out it was washed some weeks ago and the other half didnt tell me.. hhmmmm
Will get a new battery as Bez said and will give it a shot. Fingers crossed
