K03 question

    hi,

    just need a simle answer really.

    had my car mapped a few weeks ago, AGU block.

    the problem i got is the car will boost to around 14/15PSI. but within 1000-1500RPM boost will drop to 5/6 PSI

    i know the K03 isn't the biggest of turbo's but i would of though it could hold its boost a bit better then it is.

    i can't find any boost leaks, no fault codes.

    is this normal for a K03 or could it be the first signs of turno failure ?

    sounds like ur waste gate isnt holding the boost mate. Mine does this but not as drastic as urs. mine boosts to 20psi then drops to 17psi on full boost

    either that or a boost leak. Did u check the FMIC pipes?

    Because of the limitations of th kkk series turbo's they tend to be mapped so the boost increases to a max psi then will taper off. I would have thought maybe you've got a bad actuator or possibly n75 valve or even DV. There is also a possibility you have a not so good map, but I guess you went for a main stream one so unlikely.

    Can't find any boost leaks on any pipes

    DV is only a couple of months old so hopefully its not broken

    Remap is a custom code done by storm developments

    Any way to test the wastegate/actuator?
