Picked up my first Audi yesterday, a very nice ex demo 55 plate A3 2.0 Tdi Sportback S Line with DSG, 18 inch 20 spokes, Concert stereo and Bose in Misano Red and 9k miles. First impressions coming from a BMW E39 530i Sport are surprise that a diesel could be so quick, particularly in the mid range, loads of torque and a decent turn of speed. True it wouldn't match the 5 for speed or ride quality or comfort but then it is the S line on 18's and the benefit of sensible fuel economy will be well appreciated especially as i do 25k miles per year. I'll get some pictures posted when the weather improves. Observations, the DSG is very slick but a little slow to respond particularly when pulling away hard from standstill, but not really an issue.
