Hi
Love the car so far!
Couple of questions if you can help

As its second hand we have no idea what trim level it is? or what options were fitted. The manual goes on about all sorts of things which we don't think we have (but we might!)

Looking on the Audi site now, there are three trim levels SE sport and s line? were they the same back in 2009?

I know we have a 1.4 sport TFSI automatic.

Any help appreciated.

MrE

Welcome to the site.

Thing is if its sline, sport, se etc, things can be added to the standard spec & audi change there minds often what comes with spec levels, however you ideally need the a3 8p brochure for that year to check standard fittings, then check the manual for systems that may have been added extra on top of spec.

Anything that's not standard & you wanted, technology wise, we can fit if ever requested too :)

They vary so much, mines an s-line but hasn't got steering wheel controls or an arm rest, but has full leather! We'll annoying, also whoever bought it new chose a ****** multi changer. Lol

Thanks, I know some bits that were probably extra are there, like climate control, phone socket in arm rest, no leather. Nice red bit in the seats though.
Do you think its worth contacting the original Audi dealer to see if they have a record? I know which Audi dealer sold it.

TBH its not really worth it imho, you can see any extra's like buttons etc, everything that's extra should be mostly obvious.

Printed label in the boot floor or in the handbook provides the build codes and extras fitted to the car. Then Google the codes.

thanks
I will look for the label in the boot, non in the manual I think.
ill get a pic soon

Hi mate, welcome to the club.

as MrLapou says, look for the codes label (..it's inside the front cover of the service book) and enter each 3 digit code from the bottom half of the panel into the box linked below, separate by a , to find out what options were factory fitted. Anything not listed will be retrofitted either by a dealer or a previous owner\independent.

VW Group Option Codes Decoder

my car's options are below. ;)
