Just a quick ask, with regard to OIL change???

Hi all im going to change my oil and do my oil filter today ( which is a paper one ) last time i did oil filters you put a screw driver through the metal one and undid it!!!

Anyhow is there anything that i need to do when changing it or is it all just standard stuff.???

Its a 130 BHP TDI SPORT model...........Wheres the oil filter located is it @ the back???

When I take off my oil filter I wrap a piece of sandpaper around it (grit against filter) and twist.
A lot less messier than putting a screwdriver through it and if you getthe screwdriver way wrong you'll end up ripping the filter apart.
The position of filter on my car (1.8t) is, when I'm facing front of car, it's on my right.
If u find the filter too tight using the sandpaper method, some trips to the Gym are required

been a while since i changed mine, but it theres not a bolt head on the filter housing i use an oil filter claw

Cheers as you look @ the engine, wheres the oil filter ? is it on the left, right or @ the bottom @ the back?
