June 2000 W reg A3 8L Concert I tape deck and Cd changer question

I have the the concert I tape deck with the optional CD changer fitted and standard half amplifed system, is there any way of keeping the cd changer functional and swapping to a more modern aftermarket HU? As I would like to be able to connect my ipod or android phone via usb to a HU.

No there are no aftermarket HU's that support the Audi changer

Ok thanks for that Andy, don't suppose you know if there is anything aftermarket that would use the audi control cable for the changer and put a new changer and HU in?

No there isn't. Non standard plugs at both the changer and the HU
