Good work on the stainless order jay, quick work. Only a few weeks until the final preparations are sorted and the map is done :racer:

scott, get the vacuum pipes on your car sorted, apparently it's a common problem.

Thanks chaps... Yeh stoked cant wait to get it all on now. I'm even sanding my inlet mani as we speak!

looking good mate my cars basically same as yours at the moment mines a aum though with k03s stock are the injectors needed for a stage 2 map ? i thought stock were enough....

steve

Stock is enough but you will see around the 230 mark. Rtec recommended the injectors and maf to help see it to 240 - 250bhp

i didnt think you couls see past 230 without wmi ? the turbo is soooo small

ahh really thats a bonus i already have a s3 m.a.f lieing there too hmmm

What are aum injectors again? Agu is 205cc. Yellow tops will be 305cc

Reesy made a fair point then, my agu ones would max out before yours Steve.

Westy - wmi a little bit excessive on my motor!? I do love flames lol

ignore anything aum / agu compared, different MAF and different injectors. Mylos AUQ (AUM in a frock) made 264bhp on stock injectors and MAF with lots of WMI.

It's just AGU's that top out at 230.

There it is again! When I'm close to completion people keep throwing more ideas in my head! You lot are a bunch of *******s lol I want wmi now

Would of thought WMi will be just as if not more helpful with smaller turbos to reach their potential? Especially as they tend to act like heat pumps

You know you wanna Jay ;)

Work at the garage today was really quiet so I decided to work on my car. I have a spare agu intake manifold and I thought I would prepare it.

i started off with 80 grit and 180. sanding by hand was taking too long so I whacked out a air sander. This make very light work. I used the 180 grade and then finished off with a 600. Few hours later and it looks like:

All masked up ready to go to my local powder coaters later in the week

what are these wmi kits like on reliability ...and how are they triggered ? only after a set boost or rpm etc...? there cheap enough as it goes

All depends on what kit. There are cheap kits out the that can leak. I think there are a couple of threads. Stacey & westy come to mind. I think westys first kit had a leaking nozzle which he solved.

Week later and I finally get my large port inlet mani back all powder coated.

all I need now are the gaskets and this can go on!

Nothing special today but had some time to work on the car again. Oil filter from tps and 10w 40 quantum for oil change.

Rear wiper jet washer has not working for a few weeks. You can hear the pump going when pressed but no water is coming out. This meant I would have to check the whole water line... After following the line throughout the engine bay, behind the glove box, down the passenger side and to the rear quarter. Checked the car and we found a puddle of water about 3" deep.decided to invest I took the cd changer & standard sub out and found the water line had come apart. Simple fix but what a pita job it was... Imo not the best place to put a joiner! But another problem solved!

Oh I also emptied the catch can for the first time today since getting it fitted a few weeks

That thing is massive! Do you mind if I ask how much?
Purchased a new forge factory second last week. Absolutely nothing wrong with it apart from the forge logo being smudged. £70.
Im supprised at how small the 90' bend In to the turbo actually is though. Better than the OE metal TIP, but still small.

Youll have fun fitti g that though. No idea if it will wit down between the water pipes!

It is indeed mahoosive! 70mm bore. Unfortunately im sending this one back as its not the spec i ordered.
70mm bore is correct but i wanted a 76mm end to fit the new MAF. This one i have is 70mm, so its going back and i should expect a new one next week!

Fitting will be tight, i have been told it will touch the oil line but will be fine.... We shall see!!!

With the remap coming up soon, I have one week to make sure I have everything. Sfs sent me their ah36 tip (70mm core) but I had requested a 76mm end for the larger maf. On the phone the phone to lee and he said send it back and he will make me another one. Great result!

new tip

I can't wait to get it all fitted.
Just ordered the manifold gaskets and nuts. Getting excited now!

TIP looks good. Looks funny as fk the way it reduces down so drastically at the turbo end.
