As a newbie to this forum and a soon-to-be Audi A3 owner, I'm finding myself a bit of an outsider when it comes to understanding some of the jargon I read.

Is it possible to put up a stick of jargon used?

    What's 8P/P? MY9,10,11,12?
    What's BE? ET46? CH?, HU?

    etc etc...

    I'm confused!
    Thanks

8P is the newer A3 chassis.

    MY is Model Year

ET is wheel offset - you'll need to google that it's too much to go into there, it's the amount a wheel sticks out.

    CH is a BBS wheel?

    HU is Head Unit.

    What context is BE used?

Thanks for the swift response. I see people talking about alloys being ET46, ET48 etc and haven't a clue what they mean lol.

BE, as in "New one is TDI 140 BE with comfort pack and non smoking pack in phantom." from a current thread on the A3 (3P) forum.
