what power are you hoping for?
when pushed hard, IHI's suffer cracked & warped exhaust housings and can suffer bearing failure.

if you aim is 320bhp/280lbft level, which 1.2bar-1.3bar boost should realise relatively reliably then its a nice spooling complement to the 1.8t

push to hard and drive it consistently hard, it gets too hot, and the IHI hotsides are very poor at coping with the heat.

nearest equivalent garrett is a GT28Rs in terms of spool and power delivery. Slightly more possible and a bit more robust when pushed hard

Its still early days when it comes to the turbo conversion

Just looking at the options out there, Jabba was one of them as it keeps the standard look of the engine bay, but most under hung big turbo conversions do anyway?

320bhp would be nice but if i can get more power/torque for the same price with a different turbo then that would be better

remember APR kit with the cast manifold is for LHD not RHD

follow tuftybloke's BT thread as he's currently fitting a pagparts manifold and GT30 turbo to his S3 @ my workshop

    Oh right!

What would be needed to fit the apr kit to a rhd car?

I know Awesome do a kit, about 6k plus vat though!
