Hey people, just recently acquired an Audi S3 1.8T 210 facelift model. I thought I'd post because due to it being a reasonably old car, the thing which will be priceless to me is your advice and knowledge. I bought it and the power steering started making noise at low revs, done some research and inspected the PAS pipes, was the cooling pipe. Was leaking at the bracket half way down it, was basically deteriorating from age. I replaced that with the part from Audi and the correct green fluid which I read up about. The engine light came on when this problem was at it's worst. I'm currently finding someone that has a computer I can check the fault code on. I'll find out what it is and report back. The engine still runs absolutely fine and is still extremely responsive with no noises smoke or other bad signs.

So yeah, thought I'd be polite enough to introduce myself and car before I randomly ask questions. image.jpg image.jpg

PAS Pipe was £73 I believe, with two bottles of PAS fluid it all came to £93. Also, I shall do soon my friend, been a bit stormy! Haha.

There's a small few body work issues, but I expected that anyway. Over time if I want to make it mint I can get that sorted. I find a blank canvas is much better to start with as opposed to touching up somebody else's painting. 😎

Oh I agree with the whole making it mint part, but buying a car that someone has played with (performance wise) can be a slippery slope. Whether it was done properly etc...
