This morning the post rocked up and the doorbell rang. A smallish parcel I wasn't expecting arrived from Audi UK. Once I'd run an electrical tester over it to ensure they hadn't posted me a bomb (after reading some of my threads!), I opened it to reveal this: A 4Gb Streamliner USB memory stick (usually worth £40 RRP). Enclosed was a note from Dawn Cox, Audi UK Head of Customer Services thanking me for my continued loyalty as an Audi Customer. I've never spoken to Audi customer services (other than to get as settlement figure when I was thinking of selling the car last year), so don't really know what prompted them to send it to me? As many of you know I have some mixed opinion about various components of the UK Audi outfit service-wise, so for once to be pleasantly surprised was a very welcome change. I do have a letter from Audi sat in my drawer which I received earlier in the week about purchasing an warranty plan, so I'm hoping that it isn't a device to twist my arm into purchasing it!!! Is this common practice to receive this sort of thing, as I've never heard anyone else mention it. It's lovely to be saying something genuinely positive about Audi rather than something tainted with a veneer of disappointment; a very nice touch.
