    As you can see,

Has anyone any idea what I could use to fill or seal this hole up?

I'm using newspapers at the moment, but they never stay in place and on long journeys it's very uncomfortable.

    Thanks.

I have floor mats, I just removed them for the photo to show the hole.

I can still feel the hole through the mats.

Buy a new carpet off ebay! Has the car done high mileage as I've never seen a carpet ware through that bad before. If you have any off cuts of house carpet laying around try that?

Thanks for all the replys people

I bought the car back in March, it was an English import in to ROI, there was 98,000 miles on the clock when I bought it, there is just over 110,000 miles on it now.

I only found out it had the hole after I bought it :-( got some land when I pulled back the floor mat.

Will give the carpet a try.

Hope that mileage is verified as my B6 A4 has 160k on the clock and there is barely a mark in the carpet.

No I never got it verified, yeah I'd imagine there is a lot more miles on it than the clock shows  but its going well and that's the main thing I suppose.
