until you start trying to convince yourself that you can afford a big turbo kit and actually its an investment!!

Did the car feel heavy when pushed? or was she ok?

    Nah not a t28, a BIG turbo.lol

Though quattro would be on my list if i could get a car to do swapsies on and sell one back on to cover the swap, So i would need a facelift turbo car in purple. Hmm not limited my options have i?

Why specifically a turbo? Surely any quattro shell would do the job...

Glad to hear the quattro is working it's magic!

Yeah it needs more power as it's gutless when it comes out of bends but it'll do for now

I always had a BMW but after buying my S4 I can't go back because the Quattro is something that no other car has it :) and I love it :)

left foot braking, keep that turbo spinning and release at the apex.

either that or just don't brake! you will surprised how fast you can go round a corner before you break traction.

but you are right the power delivery and gearing combination of the 1.8t quattro is pants at 20-40mph.

I know my car is A) untuned, and B) not Quattro, but I only recently learned how to properly drive it, on a backroad mission. I'm used to driving large capacity stuff, and lots of big diesels, and I habitually keep the revs below 3k in normal driving.

Until, that was, I found the right road, with the right traffic. The difference when that little turbine is spinning is immense, even with a low-tune engine like mine.

I am certainly a turbo convert. Quattro would be nice, but it would mean selling my car, and I love it too much to do that...

Ye, its a pity the B5's run the silly axle on FWD models. B6's are pretty easy to convert to Quattro in comparison.
