Yesterday evening a young (25 year old ish) lad came in to discuss some work. After saying goodbye he went off to the car park and I heard a lovely growling sound so I ran down to the car park to investigate..

It was a gorgeous Audi R8 (V8) that had had the carbon fibre panels colour coded red to match the rest of the body. I went to have a closer look and the owner said he's getting rid of it to buy a Lambo in a few weeks!

Some people have all the luck!!

I did ask if he fancied swapping for my A4 but it hadn't been cleaned which I think may have put him off ha.

Id stick with the R8 imo very nice oh well il win the lottery one day and buy every one a drink

Some people are stupidly rich these days! But still, must be very successful!

Or has a very successful Dad. That's the sort of customer I see at MB;

"Dad wants me to have a nice safe new car that he can trust, so we're looking at an SLK 280, but not sure If I can live with only two seats.."

It is, indeed, another world.

He spent about £30 on bits while he was here and asked if he gets a discount for cash ha.

Yeah.. If only!? Think I'd aim for an RS4 Avant.

i had an R8 last nite and sold it to get an RS4 MTM supercharged which set me back about £70,000, wot an amazing car i have to say the pull on that son of a bitch was immense and the handling was a dream, i parked it back on my drive big enough for 10 cars and started to wax her and then..............................................i woke up........**** lol same S4 in the little drive big enough for a packet of salt and vinegar discos and a 12 hour shift at the coal wash, harsh kick to reality.............. except the S4 mind lol

There's a guy in my town, bout 25 years old, who got a small inheritence payout, he bought a house, sensible, then a brand new white M3 for his runabout, fair enough, and a Gallardo for fun, *******!

small inheritance!!! id hate to see his big inheritance ha

im fukd then cuz my parents are skint lol

i know a guy who came into some money and bought house, M3 and RS6...nice

i would have to get a B5 RS4 B7 RS4 and an RS6 supercar beaters for half the price. nice bit of tuning and thats one good looking driveway

BMW M3 and the rest on insurance! Maybe an original Mini with a turbo VTEC engine or something as well!

i think i'd spend most of it on modified things tbh.

Probably drop a proportion building a full offroad-challenge spec land rover, buy a sensible daily driver like an A8 V8 TDi ;), finish off any projects and buy some american muscle...

Prob get my RS4 rep re done to a quattro then try and stick a fully worked RS4 engine then get a Porsche 911 turbo as my sensible car then get a nice Kawasaki zx6R motorbike in orange.

I'd go to KFC and have a two piece variety meal, with a Pepsi.

And since i'd be loaded, I'd have it made large!

£150000 would get me a B7 RS4 with a few tweaks for the daily, and an R34 GTR with some serious work for my toy.

That's thinking about it quickly, or I'd be here all night......

R8, Lambo, Ferrari 360, 911 GT3 RS, Caterham/Westfield Hayabusa engine, Bowler Wildcat, custom '57 Chevy Bel Air, Escort Cosworth,

Ok now I'm gong bed to dream about my imaginery money!

I think that amount of money would just about cover my current credit card situation... maybe enough to take the car to a jet wash afterwards, then again I may come out with less car than went in!!!!...
Soupie? Where abouts in Edinburgh...?

B5 RS4 with KO4's for the run about (£35k tops)
993 RS (£50k tops)
Espace V6 for the school run (no idea but less than £20k!)

then I would spend the rest on track days!

Alright. £150k? I would have:-
1985 XR4i
1986 Opel Monza 3.0GSE
1990 Audi V8
1997 Ferrari 456GTM
2003 MB CL65 AMG

Probably spend three grand or so on my A4
And have an awful lot of change.

Being completely honest, the vast majority of cars for sale today bore the hits out of me. Even the R8, Fezzas, Nobles what have you. I'd be glad for a mate to have one I can occasionally take out for a spank, but I wouldn't want to own one.

Even at work, when I find myself driving SLs and CLK Cabs I can't help but feel I look like a tanker. Couldn't live with that image. I hate cars that "impress people"

lol thinking of trackdays and expensive porsches, was at a trackday at knockhill recently and a chap turned up in his 997 GT3. It was rather wet and the second lap out he managed to spin it and put it onto the grass in the middle of the hairpin. Then, unlike every other driver there that spun it, he got pulled out, left the track and drove home!

Clearly a pussy!
