not too bad that, mileage is a bit high but reflected in the price....best gauging it against cars of the same year then add a little for buckets

Well you can get the same plate without the buckets with 40k on the clocks for the same price. Do the buckets help keep the price up?

Mileage is high, but I know others with that mileage on that year, and yes the buckets are beautiful seats, love mine

Looks sweet but i would try and get the price down due to the high miles. But it does look like an tidy explain and love those buckets:wub::laugh:

That's the only thing putting me off is the high mileage...as my 8L has only just turned over 70k!!

my 8L was 110k but looked like it had 70k......its not an issue with these cars if they have been looked after ;) i wouldnt pay much of a premium for low mileage

as well chances are to get that many of miles, a lot of them would be motorway miles, so low strain, but you would have to account for a timing belt change with that many miles, more excuse to push the price down

Very true, could have low mileage and be knackered! Get the car checked out, get him down! Get in it, drive home, sorted :laugh:

i always go by the fact that any car could have been thrashed, the most likely candidates are the demo vehicles..... which most people assume are a safe bet as they are 'dealer supplied'...couldn't be further from the truth :)

used to do the same mate haha....just for a laugh i priced my 8L up on 'we buy any car' , apparently i could take the below trade valuation and deliver my car to my local venue - CARCRAFT of Sheffield!! and get money direct to my account!! nobody knows where the cars come from. Most of Mercs stock are ex company cars, Vauxhall use rental vehicles largely for their mass sellers..the list goes on, yet people always associate main dealers with quality.

Im **** at baking but my icing is top notch!! syndrome ;)

Judge a car yourself, if you cant do that then book an AA or RAC techy - think they have some sort of indemnity insurance which helps protect you.

most of the time high millage is better because its been sat on a motorway so wear would be not as great as on a low millage car that has been round town alot i would go for a higher millage car anyday not just because they are cheaper either mine has done 88.000 miles now on a 54 plate and i bet it drives better than some of the cars which have half the millage on them

Enterprise rent-a-car are one of Vauxhalls biggest customers and they single handedly keep car supermarkets such as motorhouse and motorpoint supplied with stock. I think they work on 5k or 3 months old before they are sold on to these places

Its why all the corsas and astras in these places have 4 scuffed wheels but only 2k on the clock!

Sorry but you would rather go for a high mileage then a low mileage and that's not because of the price? Crackers mate! ..if two cars were the same price but one was lower I would go for the lower! Price must reflect mileage..simple! And your car runs better because you look after it. That can't be said for other cars low mileage or not.

i suppose it all depends on how the two cars drive like doesnt it i bought my car on 64k but i drove a car with 40k on it when i was looking at cars and the one i have now drove better because it had been on a motorway for most of its life
