Hi all my car has aircon well it has the aircon fan and regas valve and all the relevant aircon bits but is the button under the big square auto button the aircon button aims if so why when I press it it only lights up while the button is pushed in, as soon as I take my finger of the button it goes of, please excuse the bad pic and the state of the car it was after a long drive.

yeh thats the AC button. If it doesnt stay on as you describe, it means theres a fault, probably high/low pressure.

The econ button is for the air con when it's illuminated it puts the car in 'economy mode' for better fuel economy so the air con is off when it's not illuminated the air con is on. If it does kick the compressor in it may be there is not enough gas/pressure in the system for the pump to work correctly.

Yes providing there's not a electrical fault on the system and I wouldnt no as I do it at work for now't lol but I'd think not as you have to extract the remains and vac test for any leaks then regas the system if no leaks try kwik fit !

Dont mess around with those stupid regas in a cans.

Get the system properly evacuated, leak checked and recharged with the correct amount of gas.
