Took the car in for a service today. All went well, in fact I have to say that Audi Northampton provided excellent service. I was in and out within the hour while I did some work on the laptop.

Anyway, my back tyres have 1mm less tread than my fronts. Is that a cool thing to achieve on what is primarily a front wheel drive car? :yahoo:

Nice TTS in the showroom too....hmmmm!!! :yum:

depends on how much tread is on your fronts really, doesn't it!

it is also possible that your rear tyres were over inflated. is the tread wear even across the whole tyre or just on the middle and inside?

hehe, well like I said, 1mm less than the fronts (rear 3mm, front 4mm)

    Tread wear is even

Lots of hand brake turns ? Tyres been rotated recently ? - Or just some muppet getting the front and rear readings mixed up

Second set of fronts, first set of rears?

My rears always wear a lot quicker, about 2 to 1 in my case...

1st set of tyres and not been rotating them. I think someone has put the wong number in the wrong box. Going to check them myself
