is my clutch slipping?

Hello,

My 96 A4 has a very high bite point since I have had it. I noticed that when doing a hill start the clutch actually appears to bit lower than normal (although it doesnt move far) until the normal clutch bite point is met then the car takes off as normal. Is something a foot here? is this a worn out clutch?

The Audi clutch grabs very high.

One way you can test it: Take your car on a highway, in 5th gear. Then floor it, and watch your RPMs and the speedometer. If your RPMs go up faster than your speed, then that usually indicates a worn clutch.
