What does the standard stereo display re track names etc if you spec the Audi factory ipod kit?

As far as the head unit is concerned all it sees is an external cd changer.

Is there any way to get song names etc by using something like a dension icelink?

When you look at the dension site it looks as though track names are displayed with that set up.......

Quick question for you Mitch if you dont mind. What do you dock your iPod on? Did you get the Denison Active cradle? Also how do you mount it on your dashboard?

If you'd like to see track names, then fit an RNSe and use SD cards. This is the only option at the moment.

I bought the active cradle and mount it on the heater vents. Works a treat for me. I'll post a pic if you like?

Yup - that's true - normally try and make sure I've got enough tunes to keep me going the whole journey - either that or I swap over to the SD cards in the RNS-E

I covered the horrible hole in the dash(from the dash mounted phone cradle) with the ipod dock
