ipod connection

I have recently bought an '08 plate A6 Avant, which I absolutely love. Unfortunatley, is doesn't have an ipod adapter or aux in socket, so I was wondering what the best way of connecting an ipod to the car is (I'm not too keen on FM transmitters), and what the typical costs were.

You readlly do need the Audi AMI (Audi Media Interface)

It fits in your glovebox, next to your CD changer, and takes about 30 minutes to fit. But you will need someone with VAG-COM to code it up.

Where do you live, as this may help is getting it sorted. Expect to pay about £400.00 form some one who can git them, ir £700 from and Audi garage
