I have just bought a 2007 Audi A3 S Line and the original owner has specced it with the symphony upgraded CD changer head unit.

I will never use the CD changer system and will eventually change it for the RNS E Sat Nav Unit.

In the meantime, I am hoping to find an iPod connection that will fit my Symphony Head unit for now and that I can use with the RNS E unit at a later date

I have come across this on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OEM-iPOD-Inte...c0.m14&_trkparms=65:15|66:2|39:1|293:1|294:50

Would this be sufficient?

Thanks guys :applaus:

Yep - that should do it - although the title is slightly misleading - that isn't the Audi OEM unit - although functionality is no doubt the same...

electric_cooper will you please stop creating new threads just to ask a question. You have opened 4 threads today where you could have simply started 1 and asked all the questions in that thread.

Can anyone recommend a better one if this isnt OEM?

Is it better to go OEM or aftermarket for an ipod connection?

They pretty much all work the same way - fool the head unit into thinking there is an external CD changer attached - i.e. no track names, just track numbers.
