Ipod connection - Audi or dension??

After months of thinking i have decided its time to get my ipod working in the car!
I have the Audi sat nav plus unit and a multichanger (which i believe will be redundant when i get an ipod connection).
Has anyone got ant thought or comments as to which is best, the Audi unit or the Dension unit?
Also i would like the connection point in the arm rest (anyone done that?)

The audi interface is identical with one exception, for health and safety reasons they locked down CD6 to play whatever was playing on the Ipod instead of opening up the Ipod controls like the Dension one does.

You may be interested in the new Dension gateway 400 that supports CD changer and Ipod together.
