Hi firstly a brief car history.
A4 B5 Avant 2.5 tdi
18" BBS REPS
remapped, fmic
coilovers,custom exhaust.
Carbon roof etc....

Have been getting ABS light coming on intermitantly over a few weeks now ,
some times as soon as you fire up the engine, yet other times i can drive 10 miles before it rears its ugly head, sometimes it stays on untill ive comleted my journey, yet other times it just resets mid journey CONFUSED :uhm:
ive had a friends vagcom on and its put up the following codes.

ABS=01203 Instrument panel electrical connections ?
ABS=18256 check dtc memory of ecu ?
also
Engine code 18259 Data bus powertrain, missing message from brake control menu ?

Any help or guidance from the Audi Gods.... would be a great help

Cheers in advance Steveb5biker:sos:

i have the same car,,, heard about the ABS rings "snapping" might be worth taking the wheels off and having a look, whilst rotating the cv joints.

If it was speed sensors it'd tell you its speed sensors.

Looking at your fault codes, theres some comms issues between the ABS, ECU and Cluster...

Could be a failing ABS module, or corrosion in the wiring somewhere?

Hi Mackers ,thanks for that, the cars booked in monday, having new clutch, with solid flywheel conversion, service oil n all filters changed, pre M.O.T so will get abs checked out with my spanner man, gonna be an expensive couple of days lol..
