I think the previous owner had dogs, even though it had been 'valeted' the car still smelt a bit stale.

I've vaxed the car, even the roof lining and carpets, but it still doesn't smell that fresh?

What else is there was can do? Except buy air freshners each week?!

Try replacing the pollen filter and if you have leather use Gliptone :)

Might help if I had a pollen filter...

As well as pollen filter I would try an aircon "bomb" like this for the system
and find some antibacterial febreeze for all the carpets. Must be antibac one though.
Worked on mine after a baby bottle leaked under the seat for a week or two :puke2:

Do you know when the air con was last recharged? If there's humidity in system then bad odour develops, etc. Also worth checking pollen filter as suggested (located in engine bay under windscreen on passenger side) you need to strip out plastic trim beside wipers to access.
