Interior lights help

Hi all just a silly question went shopping to day when I got back to my car was met by a parking ticket so was not happy than gets in the car as I was driving out of the car park my interior light was flashing just like a indicator so I stopped and checked that all my doors were closed and it stopped is this a problem or is it ok.

Was all the doors/bootlid closed properly?

Yes all doors boot and bonnet closed properly plus they was nothing on the dashboard display as it normally shows you that one is open

mine did this when the ignition was on but passenger door open, when ignition was off it wouldnt do it. i just cleaned door switch and it solved it.
