I know it's been asked a hundred times but I really don't know which intake to go for? Can you recommend which ones there are and whet you got them from for me please?? Thanks

AMD and Revo seem to be the best currently, and I have an ITG on mine which is good enough for 500bhp.

I have neuspeed on my 3.2 and love it. Not too loud but can definitely tell it's packing some power when putting my foot down

I honestly think the amd version looks very well engineered tbh, whether it flows enough I don't know.

Hmm, that 90 degree bend at the turbo end doesn't look good to me.

I have the new Samco intake pipe fitted with the std intake and airbox and that made 11ps on the dyno (with no other mods) so there is definitely a restriction at this point.

    SEARCH LOL

I have been using ASN a lot more this last month and I swear this question has been covered at least 5-6 times in separate threads.

    Revo/AMD/ITG

I have had the ITG and currently have the Revo.

The revo drew in 9g/s more air than the ITG which equates roughly to 12bhp and the ITG drew in 5g/s more air than its dbilas/evoms/twin take rivals.

The noise from the revo is awesome, I cannot stop creating chatter every where I drive. It is a lot more assertive and crisp that the ITG.

Hence why I went for the revo - since the revo, the AMD version has been released and has good reviews but I personally have no experience with it.

I have knicked your pic S88 YRS
do they provide a heatsheild for the rear of the engine where i have marked the arrow dbilas did one that mounted to the engine cover mounts, how effect it was i don't know but when I was at 1/4 miles the pipe was bloomin hot, the AMD i imagine could be wrapped with heat resistant tape?

I see your point, but the overall quality of manufacturing looks good, a minor adaption in design will resolve that kink, suggest it to them & they may have an answer for this or take it onboard & amend.

I've picked up a second hand Volant intake, which I hope to have from the current owner soon.

Unfortunatly there is no rear heat shield, where ur arrow is at the alloy pipe is uses an old airbox mount for support along with a bolt near the last 90 degree silicone pipe, a mate of mine has just bought this for his k1 and took his forge twin take off and highly recomends the amd intake. There is an alloy heat shield for this but it just blocks the filter off from the rest of the engine bay so i didnt bother with it

To be honest,as long as the radius is smooth, and the internal diameter is maintained, with the principle being to minimise turbulent flow, then there should be no problems.

Given the placing of the turbo, and the distance the filter has to be from it,there is no easy way around the number of bends involved in a CAI for this car.

FWIW,I used Pipercross filters on the 440bhp Sierra I had, without problems, and as a reverse flip on the above, the rather knackered ITG filter on mine has just been replaced with AMD's one...so I'll have a chance to find out.

    I think you're joking!

Seriously though, the Revo or the AMD would be my current choice.

Yea one of them is the best option now , it's just good to know people's opinions on things like this from people who have done it my last car was a range rover sport and only had this car since April

Yeah, that's what I like about it. But I've never seen it with my own eyes and it needs some on the job modifications to fit an S3, so hopefully it's not too dodgy.

I'm getting a TTS engine cover as well so hopefully it should all look fully stock bro, haha!
