Intake Kits

Hey,

Looking for opinions on which intake kit to get. Was looking at this http://ramair-filters.co.uk/jetstream-filter-ki/s3-20-tfsi-k04-intake-induction-air-filter-kit.html seems like a decent enough price, or should I be looking at something like what TSR-Preformance are offering? http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/revo-intake-kits-camcoat-version-offer.248092/

Probably not so necessary at Stg2/2+,but if you feel the need then Reflectagold tape will do the job.

For an S3,the best current one is the Revo.

I fitted a Revo one to a members car yesterday. It was much harder to fit than my Evoms one. Plus it didn't come with a heat shield.

Evoms is my recommendation here

What was difficult about it to fit mate?

The Revo one is good performance wise, but as an out of the box solution, I do not think its fit for purpose, from a structural/mounting standpoint. In other words, I had to make some custom brackets so the thing didnt jibble about all over the place.

Notice the upper mounting point on the middle piece of pipe? I have not seen another kit with that mounting point, which I find absolutely staggering if I am honest, as its such an important mounting point. Without that mounting point, the only thing actually holding in the piping is that small screw to the right of the centre pipe!! I have now done something similar to my Revo pipe to properly secure it.

I have never had a problem with my revo intake what so ever, and it came with a heat shield as standard
