Insurance renewal increase by 27%!!

Hi, I'm with LV. 9 years NCB etc etc 0 points on license.

Last year was paying £462 just got my renewal and it's gone up to £586

Obviously I'm going to shop around but has anyone else had such a dramatic increase recently?

Do what I do and call the company and ask why they have put it up as I haven't had any claims , They usually drop it back down .

Gave them a call yesterday they only knocked £30 off! Plus the new quote was an annual quote so my monthly would of been even more of an increase. Admiral were the cheapest option this year for me.

Amazing how they think people will just except an increase of over 30%.

Mine nearly double, been with the same company over 10 years but they couldn't do anything for me, shopped around and managed to get it for more or less the same as last year.

last year on Admiral i was 305, renewal came through at 360

one phone call and i got it down to 260

Im quoting now. 6 months ago I was quoted £1000 (S4 new), its gone to £1,700 now and with high excess. Not sure the recent high profile incidents with Audi S models are helping, but this is insane.

Anyone got a good broker to discuss with vs using online?
