Instrument cluster odometer reset button

Hi I have a 99 s4. The odometer reset button (right hand side stalk/button) doesn't seem to work I can not reset the miles or reset the the oil serice message.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Is there a fix for this ?

Any help much appreciated.

ive always used my reset tool to reset the oil and service lights.

as for the reset button.. could it maybe be brought back into life with some switch cleaner sprayed into it?

I'll take the cluster apart tonight and give it a spray and see what effect it has. Thanks

Took it all apart and give it a good spray with electronic cleaning solvent, back together and still no joy

does everything else on the clocks work?
if you can live with not being able to reset the trip you could buy a service reset tool.
if not you might need to get the clocks either checked and repaired or a replacement set

Everything else works, the computer display pixels aren't perfect but not bad.

I've bought a super vag just waiting for it to arrive hopefully that will allow me to reset the oil service
