hi lads, as most of you know at the moment i'm running an 1.8t AVJ with a k03 stock turbo and a revo stage 1, but i'm curious as to what injectors i can put in to help things along abit power-wise as the ones in at the mo are stock too. any thoughts or info?

Unless you are going to upgrade other parts including mapping then adding larger injectors will do nothing for power at all, in fact may lose you some.

if you're looking at intercooler and turbo changes, you are goign to need a remap, so why not consider injectors too?

Has OP not said he's already had a REVO remap?

I'd be interested in the answer to this too as I'll be getting the 163 1.8T i'm buying remapped ASAP.

    Wondered on the cost.

    Intrested in what answer?

The revo map the OP has does not max out the OEM injectors so would be a waste of time and money. To make use of the injectors you will need to probably upgrade the turbo, upgrade the charge cooling and then get it all mapped to suit.

    Getcha.

Would a T28 be best and what kind of cost?

Then do you follow up with a Stage 2 remap or custom?

Revo stage 2 consists of re-flash with the larger 380cc injectors and that upgrade makes a huge difference vs. stock and stage 1.

The remaps will only have been done to suit the car at the time they were done: or in the case of the plug-in remaps just to suit OEM components: remember if you change even the filters and exhaust, you can remap to different specs than a standard car... if you then add a DV and uprated intercooler and/or turbo... it'll really need another remap to make use of that....

so if i fit all the extra components, i.e fmic, injectors, k04..........would i still be able to run a stage 1 revo or would it be a customised stage 2 for my engine spec?? just so i have an idea of cost seeing as a stage 1 remap costs 400 whereas a stage 2 is more than twice that!

pretty sure that if you're doing that much work that any of the Revo maps will not work as they just approximate the hardware that you have and then setup the map as to what they guess will work best.... if you're goign for lots of custom components, the guess-work gets more adn more vague... they should be dyno'ing it, trying a map, re-dyno, another map, another dyno, etc, etc... if not, it's just a pre-defined "best guess" map... the only reason that the "stage2" is any more is because fewer people bother going that far, so they've done that research work and are only going to get a few people to sell that too...

if you're going for lots of custom components, the best bet is to get a specialist tuning company that will take the time to do a PROPER custom map.

not so bad at the mo juss, no more needed yet but im crossing my fingers! you seen my post on your latest find?! hahaha!! i think you should kit yours up like it, make a statement!!! and thanks also for your feedback lostbok, the place i get mine mapped do they're own setup work but are revo agents, and the generic revo setup is lots cheaper than their own system setups, obviously as you say because its engine specific. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
