Indicators as daytime running lights

Hm, I also like the idea of the fog lights... I'd be very interested in coding you changed to enable both the fogs and indicators if you still recall.
Hi mate, sorry only got round to it today.
If you have vagcom, this is the procedure:
1. Plug in VagCom cable to the vehicle & turn on ignition
2. Open VCDS on your computer and click on “Select control module”
3. Select “09- Cent. Elect.”
4. Select “Coding- 07”
5. Click on “Long coding helper”

For indicators as amber running lights:
6. Go to Byte 7 “Front turn signals as parking light (USA & Canada)
7. Set value to 40x1 (can be played with but higher numbers not recommended due to reasons mentioned above- may cause confusion if too bright)

To use entire taillight as parking light including inner fog lights:
8. Go to Byte 9 “rear fog light as parking light”
9. Set value to 22x1
10. Go to Byte 10 “rear brake light as parking light”
11. Set value to 22x1 (this is to use all three bulbs in outer part of tail light cluster as brake/park lights for uniform look, this has nothing to do with centre brake light)
12. Close Long Coding Helper window and click “Do it!”

This may vary slightly depending on model of the car but if all goes well your car should display the changes immediately. Hope this helps.

Amazing, I'll add this to my list of things to do when I have vcds. Been meaning to get it for a while but it's going to my birthday present to myself after pay day :icon thumright:

Thank you very much for your help. Excited to try these mods.

Hi, I've just bought an Audi A3 that's had the indicators as DRL mod done and I'd like to return it to standard. What do I need to enter into Byte 7 to achieve this please?
