Just wondering how people feel about recommendations for small, local, independent garages? Looking at cars on autotrader and pistonheads, most of the ones I'd be interested in are 200+ miles away. What's the best way to go about finding out which garages are likely to have good stock, and which are dodgy dealers that often stock thrashed and over-priced cars?
Alternatively, what are the chances of getting a reliable recommendation service type deal set up where members could reach out to other members to view cars around the country (like I could check out cars in Aberdeen for buyers down in London etc)?
Just thinking out loud(ish).
