Really odd one this, but recently had a new cylinder head and head gasket fitted, and since I've had it back from the garage, when accelerating/when the turbo spools up, the air flow increases out of the cabin vents - like someone has turned the fan up...only for it to slow down again when required mph reached/turbo remains steady.

Anyone got an idea what's happening here?

Does the air come out of the vents more and not actualy the Climate control thats getting faster? mine was changing all the time when going over bumps, accelerating, randomly. Turns out it was a faulty unit so i replaced it :)

maybe someone did the "a/c into the airbox" trick mod?

Alternator struck me as a potential source.

@Matt82 -- Just guaging how serious your comment is! Is this something a not so handy mechanic might have mistakenly done? Or is it a serious mod? ....cue my embarassment here!

It is just the air coming out the vents, not the climate control unit misbehaving
