I have an Audi chorus cd changer/cassette head unit. Outside of town, picks up strong signal radio stations ok, albeit a bit fuzzy. As soon as I head into town, the signal just drops completely. This is on radio stations radio 1 and radio 2. Would it be a problem with my aerial, or connector into headunit, or something else?
I live in Milton Keynes if that helps. Not really crawling with sky scrapers blocking signal lol.

sounds like the amplifier for the aerial is kaput!

Where would that be located and is it something that can be replaced quite easily?

If you look at the rear window from inside at the top there is a panel that you can just pull off and its behind there

That's on the saloon anyway! Not sure on an avant

Ahhh brilliant cheers. Where can you get them from? Dealer only?

Your aerial amplifier must be cracked like mine it's a common fault, which Audi should replace for making a weak part.

Here's a few threads about it which people have done some DIY fix.

I tried the fix and it's alot better than what it was.

I hope the new revised part is built better for that price.
