Illuminated Grille Rings?

Hi all, I was browsing about fleabay on the old interweb & found these illuminating Audi badges (from Germany) that appear to be normal 'chrome' look when not switched on. :

I really like the idea, particularly the red one - however, fairly sure the red would be illegal in the UK? white would be OK, Blue (my second choice), as I think you can getaway with on the front of your car as long as it doesn't flash?

Whatcha all think?

a very personal thing really , but for me they are most certainly a non starter.
