Ignition key switch sticky!!!!

Having a really annoying problem with my A3. When removing the key from the ignition, there is usually a click which turns the interior lights on, turns off the stereo and allows me to lock the car.

Slight problem, every now and again mine gets stuck! This means i have to get back into the car, turn the key and then try again!

Don't wanna go spraying anything in there if its gonna do any damage.

Anyone got any ideas???

Can't see it doing any damage mate, but I am no mechanic!

A small squirt of WD40 should do the trick
