ignition key problem

hi all
i have a 53 plate 1.9tdi 130 se.its done around 50k and i have had it about 2 weeks. all is well except quite often when i remove the ignition key you dont hear and feel that click as if something is closing in the barrel, then i seem to have trouble arming the immobiliser and have to either put the key in the ignition and remove hoping it will "close" the barrel properly or lock it using the door lock
hope you can shed some light on this for me

Try a dry lubricant like a graphite. It's probably just a tad "tired" from all those miles!!
