Ignition key fob

has anyone else had trouble with the key fob getting stuck in the ignition,
mine got so stuck in there the other day that I actually pulled out the battery compartment along with the emergency key. while all the rest, (as in the casing) stayed in the ****** thing ,
I had to wiggle the thing and practically prise it out ,
its just done the same thing with my other / spare ignition key, so I think the problem must be with the (what's it called??) the barrel? port? well what ever it is
any help people?

Yes I've had this with B8 cars, I found the trick was to do it slowly, so push the key in, wait a second or 2 then pull the key out, using speed when removing the key, failed everytime when I tried to remove the clients key.

iv been so annoyed with it , I nearly pulled the full dash off I think ...
I did leave it in here for a while and tryd it a little slower, although it might not have been slow enough with me being in a bit of a temper I must admit, ill try again, and breathe in and out slowly lol
