Idling Issues

Hi Guys,

having a few issues on idle...

From a cold start, if i use the clutch only to move off the revs cough at approx 3-400 RPM, but i can ride the clutch to have a normal smooth takeoff, accelerating seems hessitant also, once ive driven it for a while it seems to be okay? any ideas? just bought it knowing the issue and got money taken off the price, but the funny thing is it went through the MOT with this and a broken drivers window?! dont think i'll go to that garage!! haha any help would be great! Thanks!!

I let it warm up while I have a fag, save me stinking the car out? So 3-4 mins? I dunno! And it's a 1.8t? Y reg!

I had problems with my idling earlier in the year. It was rough and would almost cut out but be fine when on a run. Turned out it was the MAF failing/failed. New one fixed it.
