Ok.... So after seeing how good Warren's new Panther Black looked after a good clean, I decided to do the same!! Had some spare time on Saturday and very happy with the results!!

    ---

A few of the products I used :)

    ---

Looking a bit dirty after a week on Messy Bournemouth roads!

    ---

    ---

After a nice wash using the two bucket method
(Product - Meguiars NXT Car Wash)

Cracked out a bit of the clay

    ---

    ---

The bodywork felt very smooth after getting rid of all the c***

    ---

Next was to crack out Meguiars Step 1 as there was some very light swirling in the paintwork
(Product Used - Meguiars Step 1)

    ---

Next was Meguiars stage 2 to give it that nice shine before the JetSeal

    ---

    ---

After recommendation from Warren I bought some Jetseal 109. The packaging looks ****, but oh my days it works GOOD!!

    ---

JetSeal going on. Left for about an hour to bond with the paint!!

    ---

So whilst I was waiting for the JetSeal I did a few other bits. First was foaming the tyres
    (Product Used - Tire Foam)

    ---

    ---

Next I SupaGuard'd the interior carpet and fabric... (Warning - Always use in a well ventilated area. I did not and felt pretty rubbish after!!)

    ---

    SupaGuard Alloy Protector

    ---

    Wheels looking good!!

    ---

So after the two coats of Jetseal - You get this!!!

    Love this picture!

    ---

    ---

Next comes the AutoGlym HD Wax to keep in all the JetSeal goodness!!

    ---

    ---

With the Wax polished in and buffed up!!!

    ---

    ---

    ---

    ---

    ---

Last few pics show the car in its full glory!!

    ---

Fitted in some new LED lights supplied by TRUPS

    ---

    ---

    ---

Its been raining here loads over the last few days and even though its slightly annoying... All the products are working like magic. The water beads off the car and hardly sticks. If you place anything on top it, it just slides off. The dirt does not even stick to it!!

Overall, Im really happy with the outcome and was worth the work!!

Looks fantastic! It's my first winter too with a white car - Not fun at all!! The only thing I would suggest is you've used a wax and i've been told in the past to stick to sealents (such as Zaino) with white cars? Apparently it's meant to make them look a slight brighter white?

    Keep it up! ;)

Looks good mate! if you get any more swirls I'd ditch the megs stuff, it doesn't work.. although with it being white it's going to be hard to see swirls anyway

Pretty much exactly what I used for the paint, but I was starting without swirl marks too.

    Jetseal has been exceptional.

    Great job, looks really good.

    Tip: S3 pedals!

Ive just started in the detailing business having been trained by Al at AMDetail. Recommend ditching Megs stuff as there are cheaper and better products out there. I use Poor boys range and Dodo Juice stuff. Even though my S3 is silver the shine is amazing especially when using the DAS-6 polisher. Snow foam is particularly good at getting out the deep engrained c**p.

Car looks real good mate..........well worth the 6 hrs input.

why would you use jet seal and wax? i thought you use a glaze then a sealent ( synthetic) or a wax ?

Car Detailing Glazes, bring freshly polished paint to life. Glazes contain ultra fine or no polishing abrasives and are designed specifically to add gloss depth and wetness to the paint. This step isn't always regarded as necessary and one that is often skipped, however for a real award winning concours shine it is a must.
Most Glazes offer nothing in terms of protection and will need topping with a synthetic sealant or wax.

Cleaning your car protects the paintwork and helps make it look shiny and new, so why go to all that effort to let the elements wreak havoc on it? Paint Sealants simply do just that- they seal the paint from the harsh environment. Where wax is a natural substance, sealants are synthetic waxes that are formulated for long lasting and protective qualities. They contain polymers or acrylic compounds that are tough to beat and give exceptional gloss

Our carnauba car waxes and paint sealants will make your car POP with a Dazzling Shine! We offer the best car waxes available, from Meguiar's, FinishKare, Poorboys, Collinite, Chemical Guys, Dodo Juice and Victoria Wax Each of these car waxes will enhance your car's appearance and keep the paint properly protected.

Yeah I agree. Was pretty ****, it was some stuff I found lying about.

In all honesty, I just followed the little guide and procedure Warren used... I'm pretty happy with the results. The photos don't really do it justice.

Oh and S3 pedals are sat in the garage. Just haven't had any time to fit them.

Looks good mate. FYI jetseal on the wheels works WONDERS! The dust just flies off if you show it the pressure washer and you only need to use a bit of APC and a brush to clean the more stubborn bits :)

Tbh what the OP has done by using Jetseal and AD HD wax is lay down an excellent protection for the winter months.

Even though HD is classed as a wax it is a man made synthetic product and provides good durability although yes there are some better options out there it is good for the price. As for the glaze well as its a flat paint you can't achieve as much depth as a metallic therefore I doubt it would of helped that much apart from increasing the durability of the lsp's added.

As said a couple of layers of Jetseal on the alloys will do the job and another good option for the tyres and trims is Valet Pro Dionysus Trim Glitz

Cool... Didn't know you could use it on the wheels.

Yes, the reason for the jet seal and then the HD was to protect it from all the c*** on the roads over the winter

Right now on the S3 i have Duragloss 601+105+111 .. about to come off to get Dodo Juice Supernatural back on for Summer. But i change a bit on my car, have quite a few waxes, sealants (nanolex, duragloss, glass coat) Etc .. i get bored easily. That and maybe because i work at one a detailing/product place as well lol :p

Personally for tyres i like autobrite's berry blast gel, lasts a while even driving like a nutta.

Like most things you'll find with detailing it is all down to personal preference. The point of adding these two particular products is to help extend the durability of the protection over the winter months....you could say much like you suggested earlier that the OP should use both a glaze and then either a wax or a sealant....it's your choice/his choice. Most people generally that I come across have not experienced using a glaze. To me it adds depth and gloss to a nicely prepared surface which is then magnified by the lsp.

A couple of coats of jetseal or a couple of coats of HD would be sufficient, or a coat of each! Some times it can simply be a case of that your bored doing it a certain way so you want to change it up a bit....

A good glaze to consider is Chemical Guys Ez Creme which is a pure glaze or Chemical Guys Glossworkz Glaze which is a glaze plus fillers - neither offer any protection but enhance to end result.

i use dodo juice supernatural hybrid over winter for its protection from the nasty weather because of the sealant in it but in the summer months i use normal supernatural because its awesome

    Hey bud,

Got the car back on Xmas Eve thank goodness. Brand new bumper and sensor. Plus got given a 2.0 A4 BE Quattro to play with.

Supaguard is good on the carpets etc. The misses got some mud on one of the mats and it came straight off with no mark. It's worth doing but buy the kit and do it yourself. It's not worth the £450 Audi charge. The alloy stuff is doing well, not had much brake dust appear on the wheels.
