I had a quick MOT question for a Honda. It has a hole in the exhaust. Am not entire sure where it is so it can't be that big. Are things like Gun Gum a good fix for MOT till I get a new exhaust sorted? I don't have the money for a exhaust just yet and I want to keep the car legal to drive so.

Aslong as it's not blowing and passes the emissions test you should be ok.

Halfords do exhaust repair kits for like £8 that should do the trick for a temp repair.

I've never had much success with soft exhaust patches in the past. The high temperature usually causes them to fail after a short time. Im also not entirely sure whether such a patch would pass the MOT or not.

Your best bet may be to go to a small indy garage (as apposed to a Kwik_Fit type organisation) and ask them if they can weld/patch the hole.

Cheers fokes, Its going in to a garage for a wheel bearing anyway, I might ask what he thinks of it.
