I've mated a Forge CAI with an ITG Filter! So far, performance seems better than the original Forge set up,and i'm not suffering the annoying whistle i used to get when the original filter got wet! It seems to be flowing air more freely, with a slightly deeper growl, and a little less of the more common higher piched whoosh.

The fog grill location of the old Forge filter is now home to a 76mm alu air duct intake, with a cold feed direct to the base of the filter. Forgive the DIY foam heat dam around the filter,it's another 'work in progress'!

    Thanks mate.

Have you seen this on ITG, as it says that filter is only rated to 270BHP

I was going to go for the JC60/80

FWIW,the original Forge CAI's filter can and does flow sufficient gas for 440bhp or more(I know as we tried mine with it before moving to an ITG).

The ITG is definitely quieter, and the S3 specific model has the capacity for flowing air for 500bhp(which was one reason for fitting it,the other being mapping related),but absolute air flow should not be a limiting factor up to and beyond 400bhp,and in my case, the bhp and torque figures weren't changed between the two intake systems, with boost and mapping unchanged between swapping them over.

I may well have got it wrong,i thought i saw somewhere that the bhp rating was for normally aspirated engines? Can anyone clarify this one?

If not,i'll be getting the 80 with hose adapters!!
